Today, January 17/2025, a new English class for Afghan women was started. This class is organized by the IRC and in collaboration with the Kabul Seattle organization. Our goal is to teach practical daily English conversations in an easy-to-understand way by a professional teacher for women who have recently arrived in the United States. Youth Soccer Program Kicks Off

Hosted by Kabul Seattle Community Services and funded by the IRC through the SASIC program, the Youth Soccer Program launched today, January 11th. Designed for Afghan youth ages 12–18 who arrived in the U.S. after 2021, the program combines soccer with mental health education. Over eight sessions, participants will play soccer while learning valuable skills for managing stress and anxiety, promoting well-being, and building a sense of community. read more
